Jason Crow For Congress

Team — the Republican Party declared the January 6 attack on our Capitol “legitimate political discourse.” Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger are putting country before party and telling the truth about that day and Republican leadership is making them pay the price.

I’m appalled.

I was in the House gallery on January 6th. There is no question. January 6 wasn’t “legitimate political discourse” — it was a violent insurrection.

The mob tried to derail our democracy that day. They failed, but that doesn’t mean they won’t try again. America’s democracy must be bigger than any one party or president.

In the weeks and months after January 6, Republican leaders had an opportunity to change course. Instead, they decided that fear of Donald Trump was more important than allegiance to the American people.

American democracy is not inevitable, team. It’s only as strong as the people willing to stand up and fight for it.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, and I’m ready to roll up my sleeves to get it done. Pitch in today to help us continue fighting to uncover the truth on what happened on January 6 for the American people.
