It is now commonplace for Republican politicians to spread misinformation
about elections, COVID, the rule of law, and so much more. Just yesterday,
one GOP Congressman tweeted something very misleading (and ridiculous)
about Medicare for All.

[ [link removed] ]Tweet from GOP Congressman Thomas Massie reads Over 70% of Americans
who died with Covid, died on Medicare, and some people want
#MedicareForAll?

We know, from the science, that older folks are more susceptible to
Covid-19. It has nothing to do with Medicare or Medicare for All. This
tweet is just ridiculous (we had to say it again).

The fact is, before AND during the pandemic, Medicare for All in the
United States would have SAVED lives. When there’s more public funding for
health care and people don’t have to put their health at risk because
they’re worried about paying health care bills, people get the treatment
they need, people are healthier, and lives are saved.

This is
why Pramila continues our collective fight for Medicare for All,
single-payer universal guaranteed health care in America.

[ [link removed] ]Can you chip in to support Pramila’s advocacy? Not only do we have to
counter the misinformation of the GOP, we are also fighting corporate
lobbyists from Big Pharma and health insurance companies.

Pramila has 121 co-sponsors on the Medicare for All Act of 2021, the most
House co-sponsors ever for M4A. More and more candidates are supporting
and running on Medicare for All, and more Democrats in the House are
stepping up to co-sponsor single-payer health care.

During the pandemic, we heard stories of people getting stuck with bills
for Covid tests even though they were supposed to be free. This will
always happen in a system driven by profit and greed. There will always be
loopholes and corporations taking advantage of people. In an average year,
Medicare for All would save tens of thousands of lives, by guaranteeing
people can get the care they need with no cost at the point of service.

Our fight for Medicare for All will continue, and each year we build
momentum. We have more than half of the House Democratic Caucus on board
for M4A. We need to keep our fight strong and our momentum going.

[ [link removed] ]Can you chip in $3 to fuel Pramila’s leadership on
Medicare for All. Corporations and the GOP will continue their
misinformation campaigns, but we must build our movement for single-payer
to fight back.

In solidarity,

Team Jayapal
