Hi Supporter,
We’re 4 weeks into our 1.5 Degree Challenge, a 5-week climate action fundraising challenge to complete a 15 minute activity every day. We’re so impressed by our community – 577 people have joined with a goal to log 150,000 minutes and raise $65,000 for climate action and environmental justice.
Brandie and Richard are 2 of the people who are inspiring their network to give, while also challenging themselves to make outdoor activity a part of their daily routines.

Richard wanted to set new goals in the New Year. Not just new fitness goals, but he also set goals that have meaning and purpose. “As I watched the Build Back Better Bill become stalled in Congress, I knew that joining the 1.5 Degree Challenge was the perfect way to advocate for the environment, find meaningful purpose, and enjoy the outdoors.”
Brandie joined Team Sierra because she “whole-heartedly believes that the more we get out and about we start to realize what is possible to lose. I feel that if I join these challenges and show my family and friends why I care; they just might start to care as well.”

Team Sierra is a community of thousands of people across the country who are raising money for the Sierra Club’s environmental work.
Throughout the year, there’s many ways to be involved and join Team Sierra, from celebrating a birthday, to participating in a race, to hiking a local trail.
