We recently wrote to you about Petroperú’s intention to hold an information session convening the Achuar People of the Pastaza and the Wampis Nation. The oil company was going to promote its plans to exploit oil Block 64 in the Peruvian Amazon.
Fortunately, the meeting was canceled due to the upswell of public opposition. Still, Indigenous organizers will hold a demonstration to demand an end to any extraction, and they have asked us to help amplify their message.

Both Indigenous communities stand firmly against any exploitation of oil Block 64 and have expressed this time and time again. Despite victories against several oil companies that came before and failed, their demands are being ignored once again. We urgently need your support to help amplify their call.
As an international ally, your support is invaluable and has previously served in collaboration with Indigenous resistance to end attempts to exploit this block. Join us as we center and lift up Indigenous voices in defense of the Amazon.
Support the call to #CancelBlock64!
