This is Annette Taddeo, Democrat and candidate for Governor of Florida. I don’t know if you heard, but I just launched an RV tour to visit every county in Florida.

We have several more stops this weekend that I wanted to let you know about. I hope you’ll join me along the way.

I know it’s hard to believe, but a Democrat hasn’t been elected Governor of Florida in well over 20 years.

In 1991, few people thought Lawton Chiles had a chance. Undeterred, Governor Chiles embarked on a 1,000-mile walking tour of Florida, earning the support of voters across the state, and winning in a massive upset.

What Governor Chiles understood – what will be so critical during this race – is that there is nothing more important than hearing everyday Floridians.

John, I plan to be the first Democrat elected to the Governorship of Florida in over two decades.

Through grassroots organizing and community engagement, I believe we can win. I just need you to believe in me.

So, will you join me as I visit every county in Florida and build a grassroots coalition from the ground up?

John — before you go, I have one more thing to ask of you.

Normally, I would be asking for a $5 or a $10 contribution. But as a sitting State Senator, I am not permitted to raise money until after the legislative session ends. While this is hard for our campaign on a strategic level, I pledged to serve the constituents of the 40th district no matter what.

So, while I can’t ask you for money, I can ask you for a bit of your time. Volunteers will be a critical aspect of this campaign – so if you can’t make it to one of the stops on our RV Tour, I hope you’ll consider signing up to volunteer with my campaign instead.
