March 1 Deadline for UMHEF Scholarships
The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation (UMHEF) will accept scholarship applications for the 2022-2023 academic year through March 1. Students who are members of The United Methodist Church and planning to attend a United Methodist-related school, college, university, or seminary full-time are eligible to apply. The popular Dollars for Scholars program also gets a boost from our Missouri UM Foundation for Missouri students attending Central Methodist University or Saint Paul School of Theology – eligible students receive an extra $1,000. This year's Academy, hosted online on February 21-23, will focus on effective storytelling and practical ways to learn from the stories of others. During the virtual Preaching Academy, you’ll learn from Nikki Lerner and others as you update your preaching toolkit, learn new narrative preaching techniques, and process the joys and challenges of preaching in a peer learning group. Faith Talks on Addressing Air Pollution
At 1 p.m. on February 17 United Methodist Women’s Faith Talks Podcast will focus on air pollution and what faith and medical leaders are doing to address it. The guests will discuss state and national work to ensure healthier air and unpack parts of the Build Back Better legislation that are crucial to addressing public health.
