I love a good rally.

I knew from the moment we rolled out the Kentucky New Deal that we had to get on the road to share our vision. To be in community with one another. To listen to one another.

Yesterday, we hit the road to do just that — the first stop on our Kentucky New Deal tour across the Commonwealth.

First stop: Kentucky State University in our Commonwealth's capital. This one was special for me. Not only because KSU is one of the oldest HBUs in the country, but because of the time I spent in Frankfort as a state representative.

And let me tell you — people showed out!

Public libraries, university campuses, barber shops, places of worship — we’re meeting folks in the cornerstones of our community.

This is just the beginning of our tour, and we’re already headed to our next stop tonight with many more left to go. So, I have a favor to ask today: Will you chip in $5 or anything you can to help support our tour as we travel from the hood to the holler?
