John —

Donald Trump may no longer be president, but Postmaster General Louis DeJoy is still doing his dirty work.

FIRST: DeJoy actively tried to sabotage the United States Postal Service in 2020 to try and make it harder for people to vote-by-mail in the presidential election.

THEN: He doubled down on his one-man assault on this essential service and decreased post office hours, hiked up prices, and implemented changes that guaranteed longer delivery times.

NOW: DeJoy is defying the Biden administration and is outright refusing to stick to our nation's climate goals. He plans to replace the vast majority of the USPS's aging vehicles with gas-powered trucks — not the environmentally-forward electric vehicles Biden is calling for.

Dwight has heard from people across the region how DeJoy's attacks are hurting our seniors, veterans, and community. We can't let DeJoy stronghold this service and block progress, especially when folks are relying on the USPS more than ever.

This week, Dwight helped send the bipartisan Postal Service Reform Act through the House to save the USPS and make it function better for the American people. More needs to be done to defend the USPS, but this is a strong start. Will you sign on now to demand the Senate bring this legislation to a vote?

In solidarity,

Team Evans
