Proto: CT Legislators Must End King Ned's Reign-and the Mandates
Connecticut Republican Party Chairman Ben Proto released the following statement:
I want to make it clear where the Republican Party stands on the votes this week at the capitol: we urge all legislators to vote no on extending the governor's emergency powers and return the function of our government to normal.
We also urge legislators to vote no on any bills that extend the Governor's ineffective and burdensome mandates. We call on all legislators to return life in Connecticut to normal- for the sake of the next generation.
Should the Far-Left Democrats in the Legislature decide to vote in favor of extending these mandates and codifying them into law, we call on Governor Lamont to keep his word that mandates would end in February, and veto this outrageous intrusion into the freedom of choice and well-being of Connecticut families and residents.
