Last week the Republican National Committee (RNC) declared the violent January 6th insurrection to overturn the 2020 election “legitimate political discourse.” With this vote, Republicans have officially become the party of anti-American attacks on our democracy.
Considering we are also dealing with a billionaire-funded voter suppression push on the state level, the integrity of our elections have never been under greater threat.
There are many things I disagree with Republicans on, but this goes far beyond that.
Free and fair elections should NEVER be a partisan issue.
Unfortunately, the Republican Party is now led by unpatriotic charlatans like Speaker Kevin McCarthy and House Republican conference chair, Rep. Elise Stefanik, who both enthusiastically legitimized insurrection.
That’s why all patriotic Americans of good faith must stand up for our democracy.
