On October 27, 2021, the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation denied the Title V air permit required for the Danskammer Energy Center, and we thank everyone for their hand in that win. Your calls, your testimony at hearings, and your emailed comments were very important! However, on November 24, Danskammer appealed the DEC’s denial of the air permit, so it's time to once again make our voices heard.

Your help is needed to support the DEC’s decision to deny the Title V air permit at next week's hearing and via emailed comments.

Important Dates:

February 11th- deadline to register to speak at the hearing

February 15th- public virtual hearing at 5:00 p.m.

February 22nd- deadline for written comments (checkout our easy comment form here!)

Please submit a quick & easy comment right now, and please share this email with your allies. We have to rapidly transition away from fossil fuels, and building a new fracked gas plant is NOT the way reach our climate goals.
