“Abortion fight takes on fresh urgency at Minnesota Capitol” - Star Tribune
It took all of one day for Minnesota Republicans to introduce a Texas-style abortion ban (HF2898) this legislative session, John.
Thankfully, we have Governor Walz to block it this year. But make no mistake: If any one of our GOP opponents wins in November, they’ll sign the atrocious bill into law the first chance they get.
After last week’s KSTP/SurveyUSA poll showing notorious COVID-19 misinformation spreader Scott Jensen in a statistical dead heat with Governor Walz, we’ve been doing everything we can to stop him from gaining any more ground.
When the news broke, we immediately launched an expansion of our early organizing and paid media programs to fight back, but we missed the first goal we set to fund it – and we haven’t made up the shortfall yet.
Berrett and I moved some budget items around to buy us some time. But if we don’t raise another $11,352 by tomorrow night, we’ll have no choice but to make cuts. That’s why I’m reaching out this morning, John.
According to our records, you’ve yet to donate this year. If you were waiting for the right moment to have an impact, now’s the time. If you’re able, please pitch in by 11:59 pm tomorrow to help us make up the difference.
