Dear John

THE WEST MIDLANDS GOLDEN DECADE: VISIONS FOR 2022-2023

It's my privilege to invite you to the launch of the West Midlands Forum's
first book, dedicated to the memory of our co-chair Jack Dromey.

EVENT DETAILS

Date: Monday 7th March

Timings: 12pm for 12:30 -2pm

Venue: HSBC Birmingham, Centenary Square, B1 1HQ

In the essay he was working on the day before he died, Jack wrote: 'There
is much to do and little time to achieve it before it’s too late.'

So this first book makes a simple argument: with the right decisions, the
heart of Britain could be transformed over the decade to come from the City
of Culture and the Commonwealth Games, through to the first High Speed
trains rolling into Curzon Street.

But what should our vision be for this 'Golden Decade'? A stellar cast of
leaders share with us their points of view including Cllr Ian Ward, Margot
James, Pat McFadden MP, Carl Richardson, Colleen Fletcher MP, Dame Julie
Moore, Lee Barron, Paul Thandi, Beverley Nielsen, Corin Crane, Cllr Sharon
Thompson, Cllr Jim O’Boyle, Martin Sutherland, Dr Martin Freer, Ed Shedd,
Jonathan Bloom, Lucy Caldicott, Tom McNeil, Adam Tranter, Paul Cadman, Jean
Templeton, Simon Marks, Ian Cooper, Martin Bailey, Ashley Bertie - and Jack
Dromey.

So, please join us for this special moment. You can sign up below.

Best wishes
