NPR: You Are Insensitive If You Use Wrong Thumbs Up Emoji
From their absurd story: …. some white people may stick with the yellow emoji because they don’t want to assert their privilege by adding a light-skinned emoji to a text, or to take advantage of something that was created to represent diversity ( NPR). From Hot Air: This NPR meditation on proper progressive etiquette when communicating like a four-year-old reminds us that the stakes are never so low that one can afford to stop thinking about race. The thumbs-up symbol that you absentmindedly texted to a colleague to signal assent to whatever inane thing they just said may mean nothing to you — but may be a microaggression to them ( Hot Air). From Erick Erickson: Having academics insist you pick a race for your emoji is rather racist. NPR is promoting this racism and couldn’t even be bothered to investigate Hunter Biden ( Twitter). From Rod Dreher: What is the point of NPR anymore? It’s “national,” if by “national” you mean East and West Coast liberal arts colleges ( Twitter).

From congressman Mike Rogers: More than a million Americans have died from drug overdoses. Joe Biden’s plan? Free crack pipes ( Twitter). Biden Promises Big Tax Dollars to Unions
The same unions that poured member dollars into his campaign. From the story: A bias toward unions in awarding contracts would run up against federal law. Companies have a First Amendment right to resist organization, and agencies can’t hold that stance against them when disbursing funds. A federal judge in 2016 upheld this standard to block an executive order by President Obama, which would have required federal grantees to disclose any alleged labor violations publicly. Yet the Biden Administration wants to dodge that precedent by claiming that resistance to unions is a material factor in companies’ fitness. The report says union shops are favorable because collective-bargaining agreements “promote stability and minimize disruption of services and goods procured.” Never mind that the explicit goal of the proposals is “increasing worker organizing.” The Administration wants you to believe unionized firms are always the best contractors.

Media and Left Work to Destigmatize Pedophilia
And when you recognize what they did for the trans community in such a short time you can imagine they see a path to victory. From the story: The media has played an important role in both mainstreaming the sexualization of children and in promoting the idea that pedophilia is a sexual orientation, not a behavior. USA Today came under fire for citing “experts” who called pedophilia a “misunderstood” condition and argued that not all pedophiles harm children in a Jan. 10 article and since-deleted Twitter thread.

Convoy Protests in New Zealand Leads to Arrests
Similar to the convoy protest in Canada, vaccine mandates are at the center. From the story: Police called in more than 100 extra officers from other parts of the country. Still, police seemed prepared to wait it out as officers formed a line and ordered people to leave but didn’t advance on them, arresting mainly those who appeared to be unruly. Police wore protective vests but didn’t don riot gear or carry guns.
