Help Make Positive Change in Olympia and for the Environment

John,

We've made it easy for you to advocate for Environmental Priorities Coalition priorities in one, quick experience.

It's been an exciting and important week in Olympia! Two critical priorities for our environment need your support. Read below to see how you can help!

Great news! Yesterday, legislators introduced Move Ahead Washington - a transportation package proposing groundbreaking investments in our infrastructure and transit systems. More than previous transportation investments made by the State, this package truly prioritizes multi-modal options, with significant investments in urban and rural transit, bicycle and pedestrian programs. Move Ahead Washington is absolutely critical, if we are to get on track towards meeting our clean energy goals.

They will be considering this package tomorrow morning at 8am! That means you need to act FAST to show your support. Transportation is the largest source of carbon emissions--delaying action on transportation makes it harder to reach our climate goals and for Washingtonians of all income levels to get where we need to go.

Spend 30 seconds writing a note to your S [[link removed]] enator urging their support here. [[link removed]]

Critical habitat, forests, and farmland are in danger of harmful development.

SB 5042, a bill to close the GMA’s ‘Sprawl Loophole’, has passed through the Senate chamber, and is moving over to the House side. We expect it to be considered by the Environment and Energy committee very soon. Take one minute to tell your legislators to vote YES to protect forests and farms from harmful sprawl. Send a quick message here. [[link removed]]

Thanks for all you do to create a brighter future for people and the planet in Washington state and beyond!

In gratitude,

Kat Holmes (she/her)
