Judge Rules in Doe v. MindGeek: "Child Pornography" Isn't Speech, It's Contraband

In a groundbreaking ruling, a federal court has ruled in favor of the lawsuit against MindGeek (Pornhub’s parent company)—which is being litigated on behalf of the survivors by the NCOSE Law Center and its esteemed co-council—moving forward!

Why is this a landmark decision by the courts?

This case represents a first-in-the-nation federal decision holding that internet service providers can be held accountable for knowing possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (aka "child pornography") on their sites. It allows victims of such abuse to sue them civilly and get justice!

This is a significant victory for all survivors of childhood sex trafficking and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) who had videos and images of their sexual abuse posted on and distributed via Pornhub and other MindGeek-owned sites.
