Last week, the Republican National Committee voted to formally censure GOP Rep. Liz Cheney and Rep. Adam Kinzinger for their contribution to the January 6 Committee’s investigation into the attack on the Capitol.

Rather than support the effort to find the truth about what happened on January 6, Republicans instead censured two lifelong members of their own party because they chose to uphold their oaths of office.

Given these developments, it’s clear that Republicans are more than willing to retaliate against anyone investigating the insurrection, including their own.

But this will not discourage Future Forum members Pete Aguilar (CA-31) and Stephanie Murphy (FL-07), and the rest of the January 6 Committee from moving forward. If you can, please chip in $10 or more today and show our members you have their backs!

The RNC chairwomen, Ronna McDaniel, said in a statement last week that the committee is a “Democrat-led” investigation into “a legitimate political discourse.” Let’s be clear, despite what the GOP might say, the January 6 attack was anything but a “legitimate political discourse.”

We’re only 9 months away from the midterm election, and if Republicans take back the House, who knows what else they will call “legitimate political discourse.” If you are in a position to do so, will you chip in whatever you can today, and defend our majority from a Republican House takeover?
