SIGN NOW: Congress Must Ban Lawmakers from Trading Stocks

Team: Recently, a group of House colleagues and I publicly called on House leadership to bring legislation to the House floor that would prevent members of Congress from owning or trading individual stocks.

I am so pleased to share with you that as of this morning, House leadership is taking meaningful steps towards bringing this legislation to a House vote.

Preventing Members of Congress — as well as their dependent children and spouses — from investing in individual stocks while in office is an issue that has massive bipartisan support in both the House and the Senate. But as we know all too well, priorities can change quickly in Washington. That’s why I’m asking you today to sign my petition and send a strong message that the American people support this necessary policy change.

Members of Congress should prioritize serving their constituents, not making a personal profit. If you agree, please add your name to my petition right away to show that this common-sense legislation has strong grassroots support.
