Happy Black History Month, John.
This February at Morgan Harper HQ, we’re thinking about the leaders who came before us and what WE can do to carry on their legacy and their fight.
There are currently no Black women in the Senate. Yep, in 2022, not only are there are no Black women in the U.S. Senate, but Ohio has never sent a woman, or a Black person, to represent the state in the Senate — this is simply unacceptable.
Black women have so often led the charge to create critical change in our country, and yet they are still absent from some of our country’s highest offices.
We must do everything we can to correct these systemic injustices, and we can start by electing Morgan Harper.
Tim Ryan has been in office for almost two decades and under his watch we’ve seen absolutely no investment in Ohio’s Black communities. It’s time that we have a representative who will work for the people, all people, not just for corporations and the ultra-wealthy.
