Earlier this year, Gov. Holcomb announced his Next Level Agenda to keep us on the right track and build Indiana into the BEST state in America to live, work, and raise a family.

 

With the second half of the legislative session underway, we wanted to provide you an update on Governor Holcomb’s high priority bills in the legislature:

💰 Expanding eligibility for the automatic taxpayer refund to ensure more hardworking Hoosiers receive a tax cut: Passed Senate, in the House

 

🧾 Eliminating the 30% business personal property tax on NEW equipment purchased after Jan. 1, 2022, to increase capital investment in manufacturing: Passed House, in the Senate

 

📚 Refocusing on statewide kindergarten readiness to prepare all Hoosier children for a lifetime of success: Passed House, in the Senate

 

🔎 Ensuring thorough sudden infant death syndrome investigations to identify common causes and develop solutions: Passed House, in the Senate

 

👮 Increasing citizen participation on Indiana’s Law Enforcement Training Board to implement recommendations of the Hillard-Heintze report: Passed Senate, in the House

 

🏢 Modernizing Indiana Economic Development Corporation’s toolkit to support the economy of the future: Passed Senate, in the House 

 

👶 Expanding lead testing in children to reduce harmful exposure: Passed House, in Senate

John, Governor Holcomb is extremely proud of the work we’ve accomplished together so far in 2022, and he is looking forward to working with the General Assembly in the second half of the session.
