Dear John,

Let me start by acknowledging that this initiative could not have happened without your generous donations and support.

As we mark the second week of Black History Month, we’re celebrating the contributions and accomplishments of the Black Muslim community. You may remember in late 2021, we announced MPAC’s Hollywood Bureau Filmmaker Grant that will award $10,000 to a Black Muslim creative whose project is in development, production or post-production. We’re pleased to announce that we have decided to extend the deadline for the award to March 31, 2022 at 11:59 PT!

If you are a Black Muslim filmmaker, don’t miss out on this opportunity to grow and develop your project. The award seeks to promote and elevate Black Muslim creatives as they work to tell intersectional stories.

Please include the following with your submission:
●   Application
●   Waiver Submission Release Agreement
●   Project description: 1 page max.
●   Logline ( if applicable )
●   First 15 pages of Script
●   Bio

Terms and Qualifications:

●   Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
●   A project that is in development, production, or post-production.

We’d also like to thank CAA Foundation’s Full Story Initiative for their generous donation and support of this program. We’re proud to work together to generate more authentic and equitable storytelling in television and film.

If this grant is the right opportunity for you, submit your application by March 31st or help us get the word out to your network.
