I’m running because democracy is on the line right now — and in our country’s most competitive swing state, we can’t leave protecting our voting rights or our democracy to chance.

The very foundation of our country is our democracy — and that means government by the people, for the people. Your vote, my vote, and everyone’s vote is critically important to make sure our government works for us all.

That’s why when Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani tried to undermine Pennsylvania’s elections in 2020 and throw out Pennsylvanians’ votes, I took them to court — and I won.

But to defend our democracy in 2024 and beyond, we’ve got to protect Democratic Governors — and make sure we keep a battleground state like Pennsylvania blue. That’s why I’m asking: can you chip in $15 to our fight for democracy right now? [[link removed]]

To make sure our elections are free and fair, we need to make sure that every voter can cast a ballot and have that ballot counted. Voters need to have access to mail-in voting, be able to register to vote on Election Day, and have plenty of opportunities to cast a ballot during early voting if they can’t make it on Election Day. And it’s become even clearer that the work of protecting our democracy is up to states like Pennsylvania.

After the 2020 election, I defended Pennsylvania voters and the results of the 2020 election as Attorney General. My office argued all the way up to the Supreme Court, ensuring all legal votes were counted and the results of our safe, secure election were certified. And as Governor, I’ll continue to protect our democracy.

But this year, Republicans will get the chance to win control of Pennsylvania government. If they succeed, they’ll roll back the right to vote — changing the landscape of our elections for years to come.
