Workers are the backbone of our economy but while productivity has continued to go up, wages have remained stagnant for far too long and middle class Rhode Islanders are struggling to pay their bills.

A strong labor movement is essential to rebuilding the middle class and ensuring hardworking Americans can keep up with the rising cost of living. It’s no coincidence that while union membership is at historic lows, inequality is at historic highs.

That’s why Seth supports the Protecting the Right to Organize Act (PRO Act) to expand labor protections and ensure workers have the freedom to decide whether they wish to form a union without the fear of retaliation.

Seth has a long track record of creating good paying jobs. The school construction initiative and clean energy programs he spearheaded have put over 30,000 people to work rebuilding our crumbling schools and making energy efficiency upgrades across the state.

Seth will continue to fight for working people in Congress and stand up to the right-wing politicians who care more about enriching their friends than they do providing workers a chance at the American Dream.
