In February, we often focus our efforts on helping students secure financial aid. This year is no different, and we are happy to share the growth of our very own Fulfillment Fund Scholarship Program. In addition to our scholarships to students heading to a four-year college program, we now offer scholarships for community college-bound students and those pursuing a two-year vocational degree. And last month, we announced our partnership with the LA Rams for their Kenny Washington Memorial Scholarship, open to all students throughout Los Angeles.
With many scholarship deadlines landing in February, we are making sure that not only do our students have the information they need to apply for scholarships but that they also secure public financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Students Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application.
We’re also working diligently with our school partners to support them in keeping our schools safe and healthy. Our College Access team has been following strict health guidelines to deliver our services to our students, including being fully vaccinated and undergoing weekly COVID testing. In this busy time of year, also impacted by shortages in staffing at our schools, we continue to do all we can to ensure students are staying on track with their required courses and applications.
As the conditions in hospitals begin to improve and the number of COVID cases drop, we have our sights set on the spring to gather once again for in-person events.
