Dear Advocates,

The past few years have deepened the socioeconomic and racial inequities that have long existed in our nation. To transform our society, we must build a new economy that is just, fair and free from structural racism. The Policy Team at Prosperity Now is sharing a road map for 2022 that will help us get started on building a reimagined economy that allows for everyone – especially low-income, BIPOC communities – to build wealth, prosper and thrive with the full dignity of racial economic justice.

Here’s how we’re going to get there:

Create Pathways to Housing for AllDesign a Tax System that Works for AllImprove Opportunities to Start and Grow BusinessesEnsure Universal Financial Well-Being and Inclusion

Keeping with these goals, we are motivated to continue our work to advance vital programs like Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Baby Bonds, and support BIPOC-led Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to reach historically excluded communities.

We hope that 2022 brings increased collaboration and alignment for our community and the economic justice field, and we invite you to partner with us [[link removed]] as we continue to push for bold action to transform our economy.

In partnership,

Alejandra Montoya-Boyer

Director of Policy
