We just need two people from your state

Athletes are headed to Capitol Hill — honor them today!
GOAL: 100 donors
Chip in now →

Today’s an important day for us at Special Olympics.

Why? I’m meeting virtually with leaders on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. with over 100 athletes, family members, and supporters for our annual "Hill Day".

We’re SO excited to share our message of inclusion with Congress and ask them to support people with intellectual disabilities (ID). Athletes lead these meetings with U.S. senators and representatives and remind them why Special Olympics is so important to building a more inclusive world.

Special Olympics athletes are leaders in a movement to end discrimination and empower everyone with ID. But before they can lead, athletes rely on supporters like you to help get them on the field. That’s why I am asking you, to help us reach more athletes when you make a donation of $25 or more today!

Can we count on you?

Athletes across the country will be telling their stories today. Athletes like Micah, from Colorado, who serve as self-advocates by educating lawmakers and their staff about the significant consequences that arise from the stigma and stereotypes faced by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

It’s a privilege to hear the experiences of athletes telling their stories just like Micah to those who represent them in Congress. I’m proud to be alongside them as they speak up for their rights. I hope it makes you proud to be a part of the Special Olympics movement, too.

Show athletes like Micah you stand with them today and every day: Make a donation of $25 or more and help us reach our goal of 100 donors (just TWO supporters from each state!) this Capitol Hill Day!
