In just a moment, I'm going to ask you to contribute to my campaign for U.S. Senate as part of our mid-month fundraising push. I hope you'll give me a moment to explain why this request is so important.

The truth is, we are behind on our grassroots fundraising target for the month. November has been pretty terrible for this kind of thing -- the holidays are inching closer and folks are just beginning to tune out.

With so much going on in Washington, I need to stay focused on fighting for our progressive values in the Senate and making sure Democrats don't lose this seat (and with it, virtually any chance to flip the majority).

But trying to keep Minnesota blue and doing my job to protect our health care, defend reproductive freedom, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and more has left me with very little time to worry about our fundraising.

The good news is that we're not that far behind where we need to be for November. A donation of $5, $10, or whatever you're able to spare before the deadline on Friday should do the trick.
