We've reached a big milestone in the House's impeachment inquiry: Public hearings begin tomorrow. Key witnesses will be appearing every few days, giving televised statements under oath attesting to Trump's lawlessness.
Over the last few weeks, there's been a rush of new developments in the Ukraine scandal, painting a damning picture of crime and cover-up in the White House. With public hearings, the American people will finally hear the truth directly.
We know from Watergate that televised hearings had a huge effect on Nixon's approval ratings -- and the American people's view on whether he should be removed from office. But these days, not everyone gets their news on television.
That's why I'll be asking you to share the highlights of witnesses' testimony on social media throughout the public hearing process -- starting now. Here's what I'll be watching for tomorrow's star witness, former Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor, to confirm:
###
Watch for Ambassador Taylor to confirm:
- Trump demanded Ukraine interfere in 2020
- The order to withhold aid in the meantime came from Trump
- The Ukrainians knew that military aid was being withheld
- Giuliani took orders from Trump

Here's what else you need to know about tomorrow's witnesses before the hearings get underway.
Taylor will be kicking off the day at 10:00 a.m. (EST) tomorrow. He is a career public servant: An experienced diplomat, he's been a liaison to Ukraine and other countries since the Bush Administration. He's also been described as no-nonsense, a straight shooter, and willing to take the hard jobs others shy away from -- which is exactly what he's doing by putting his country over party and publicly testifying.
Ambassador Taylor's closed-door deposition last week and his multiple text messages with other Trump officials give us a roadmap for what to expect tomorrow. The bottom line is that he is a seasoned diplomat with no reason to lie -- and his testimony will play a crucial role in bringing Trump to justice.
Also on the roster is George Kent, a senior State Department official in charge of Ukraine policy. Kent's testimony will add to the ever-growing mountain of evidence against the Trump administration and corroborate the quid pro quo.
We know Trump committed a crime. And through the House's public hearings, the rest of the nation will know as well. It's only going to get harder to deny the truth: There's a criminal sitting in the White House who tried to bribe a foreign government to interfere with our elections.
I hope you'll tune in with me at 10:00 a.m. (EST) tomorrow morning to watch the public hearing.
Thanks for standing with us.
