Dear John ,

You’re probably hearing more about PFAS in the news, on social media, and maybe even from your friends and neighbors.

PFAS are a dangerous class of chemicals linked to serious negative health effects like cancer, liver damage, decreased fertility, increased risk of asthma, increased risk of thyroid disease, as well as growth, learning, and behavior impairment.

Fight PFAS pollution right now. Sign the letter. [[link removed]]

As testing increases, PFAS are turning up in communities across the state. Ground zero for these toxins is Marinette. Tyco/Johnson Controls admitted after four years the sludge they were dumping on farm fields contained the chemicals.

Now, families are resorting to bottled water while more and more private wells turn up poisoned by PFAS.

Fortunately, there are solutions. [[link removed]] The Department of Natural Resources Board is right now considering a process that will result in standards for these chemicals in our drinking water, surface waters, and groundwater.

In less than a week, the board will make its decision.

Tell the board to start the process that will protect our families from PFAS pollution. [[link removed]]

Your voice is critical. Industry lobbying groups, including the American Chemical Council and Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, want to shut these rules down. The board has to understand these pro-pollution groups do not represent the will of the people.

That’s why we need you to weigh in. [[link removed]]
It only takes a minute. With just a click or two, you can sign the letter [[link removed]] . Your two minutes will fight polluters and find a fix for the growing PFAS problem in Wisconsin.

Thank you for taking action and thank you for being a conservation voter,
