We all know this: Donald Trump and emboldened Republicans are systematically working to undermine decades worth of progress towards gender equality.

Sadly, it’s not just Republicans. Right here in Illinois 3, our own Democratic member of Congress is working to take us backward.

Just this year, Lipinski said at a town hall that he opposes the Equal Rights Amendment.

Over his 15 years in Congress, he has voted 54 times to defund Planned Parenthood. That means all services, including cancer screenings and wellness checks.

And Lipinski’s opposition to birth control is so extreme that he voted against Obamacare because of it. 

Now more than ever, we need a representative who actually stands with women.

Fortunately, in four months we have an opportunity to make history. A woman has never represented IL-03, but it won’t be easy to win this race. Right-wing anti-women groups came to Lipinski’s aid last time, and we expect they will do so again.
