After a short and controversial stint, Newsom has replaced the director of California’s failing Employment Development Department.
If you don’t know – this is the department responsible for unemployment assistance. So, it seems like they should know what they are doing when it comes to paying the people who actually need it, right?
WRONG. They’ve paid out more than $20 BILLION in taxpayer dollars to fraudulent claims throughout the pandemic. In fact, in a recent investigation into disability payments, they found 98% of them were likely fraud.
And what was the punishment for this MASSIVE failure? A slap on the wrist…
It’s been a long and tough pandemic for families up and down the Golden State, and it’s clear Newsom, and Democrat leaders are not making it any better.
We’re long overdue for a leadership change in California, and this year is our chance to do it.
