We have good news and bad news.
We’ll start with the good — there’s been a lot of it lately. We just had our biggest fundraising month since we launched our campaign, thousands of y’all have given your personal endorsements, and we announced a state-wide road trip to meet voters where they’re at. It’s clear that Kentucky is hungry for the meaningful, progressive change our campaign is fighting for.
But here’s the bad news: Rand Paul raised nearly $4 million in the final quarter of 2021. His friends in Wall Street, Big Pharma, and the fossil fuel industry are ramping up their donations to make sure Rand stays in office.
We’re gaining momentum — but it’s clear we urgently need to amp up our fundraising so we can compete with Rand’s dark money and prepare for every attack the GOP has planned this election. Can you please make a $5 donation right now to power our grassroots funded campaign?
Charles always says that if you have faith just the size of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain.
This grassroots movement has already moved mountains in the past months since we launched our historic movement to replace Rand Paul. Together, we’re proving what’s possible when we fight hard, fight together, and fight for our common values.
The harsh truth is that Democrat fundraising totals across the country have been dwarfed by far-right candidates like Rand Paul who are peddling dangerous conspiracies. It’s urgent we catch up and make sure that we continue hitting our monthly goals so we can do the organizing work that’s necessary to win this race.
Rand Paul can spend as much as he wants in attack ads, but we know that’s no match for the very real, personal conversations our volunteers are having with voters in Kentucky. At the end of the day — our bold, progressive agenda is the message that motivates voters.
We might not have as much money as Rand’s team has in the bank, but we just need enough to power our voter outreach programs and make sure our volunteers have the resources they need to keep organizing.
Keep fighting,
Team Booker
