I wanted to give you a quick update on where we stand. There are a few hundred ballots that will determine the outcome of the election. We have been working day and night to help voters "cure" their ballots. "Curing" ballots means notifying voters they can resolve issues with ballots -- like not signing ballots or not signing matching like your signature on file at the DMV.
We have had over 200 volunteers knocking on doors to help people fix their ballot and have their vote counted. This has been an amazing process with volunteers fanning out across three counties going door to door to resolving these issues. With this effort, we have been hit with expenses like volunteer training, volunteer supplies, feeding our volunteer army and legal expenses.
With your support we had no debt on Election Day, but we now have unplanned expenses for this curing work -- and need your help to get over the finish line to ensure every vote is counted between now and 5:00 PM on Tomorrow. This campaign has been built by grassroots donors, volunteers, and voters who want to see Aurora move in a new direction.
