Our moms are struggling, especially when it comes to a unique problem in the U.S. around our maternal mortality crisis. I know we can do better.

The statistics around are staggering. The rate of moms who die during childbirth from mostly-preventable health issues is worse in the U.S. than in many dozens of other countries. In fact, our maternal death rate is worse than Iran’s.

Every life is precious and we have to do better as a nation.

This issue should matter to everyone, because you either are a mom, or you have a mom. I’ve been hard at work in Congress on solutions to help more moms survive childbirth. Better birth outcomes means more people who can live to their full potential — rather than having their lives cut short by preventable medical issues.

There are too many women dying every year from entirely preventable conditions and diseases, and I need your help to reverse this crisis. Will you join me?
