We have an UNPRECEDENTED OPPORTUNITY!

Recently, someone asked me the question, “What comes to mind when I say the names, Governor Evers, Scott Walker, Tammy Baldwin, or another elected official?” 

What comes to your mind?

Often, our first impression is of a position they took on some legislation or issue, or their political party affiliation.  I admit, this is what initially came to my mind.  

The truth is, that there is a much bigger picture. At times we agree with our elected officials, and at other times we have totally different perspectives based upon worldview or values. But here is the bigger picture:

Our elected officials are real people with real lives who face all of life’s challenges just like the rest of us and, like all of us, they have a very real eternity.

The mission of Wisconsin Family Council is to advance Judeo-Christian
principles and values in Wisconsin by strengthening, preserving, and
promoting marriage, family, life and religious liberty.

When it comes to advancing Judeo-Christian principles, we know our elected officials need, and would benefit from, God’s help just as much as you and I do. 

Our legislators are often under intense pressure, are surrounded by compromise and temptations, regularly put in long hours for travel, and their marriages and families often suffer as a result. Not to mention, our elected officials need wisdom and discernment when making decisions that govern our families and our state.

Today, I am honored to invite you to participate in the exciting statewide
launch of Wisconsin Family Council’s Church Ambassador Network.   

This network will be comprised of pastors from across our state, who will serve as ambassadors, with the sole purpose of developing meaningful redemptive relationship with and ministering to our elected officials. 

A very generous partner has blessed us with a MATCHING CHALLENGE to establish our Church Ambassador Network here in Wisconsin, but we need your help for this project to succeed.  Thanks to this mission partner, every gift given toward this effort will have DOUBLE the value, up to $50,000.
 

In addition to building relationships, offering spiritual counsel, discussions, prayer and encouragement with these legislators, a secondary benefit to pastors meeting with our legislators is the opportunity for them to have worldview discussions as they arise in natural conversation and as relationships develop.  And every decision our legislators make regarding proposed laws is based on their worldview perspective. 

Laws that honor marriage, family, life and religious liberty will be passed primarily by legislators who share this worldview. 

Scripture reminds us faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, so we know this project could make an extraordinary difference, not only in the current lives of our legislators but possibly their eternities as well as in the future of our state and nation.
