Over the past year, low- and middle-income families have been able to get ahead because of the Child Tax Credit, which slashed the child poverty rate to the lowest levels on record. The expanded Earned Income Tax Credit will help 17 million more workers. And for those who haven’t claimed them, additional funds from last year’s stimulus package are available and are waiting to be sent.
