John,

Last Friday, the GQP took yet another step towards fascism.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) voted to censure Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger for the “crime” of participating in the Select Committee investigation into the January 6th insurrection.

In addition to censuring members of their own caucus for seeking accountability for the violence that took place in the halls of Congress last year, the RNC also issued a statement calling the investigation the “persecution of ordinary citizens who engaged in legitimate political discourse.”

There was no debate or discussion whatsoever, and the entire process took less than a minute.

Just when I thought Republicans could not possibly stoop any lower in their efforts to undermine American democracy, they proved me wrong.

John, this is dystopian, undemocratic, and downright scary. And this move by the RNC is a reminder of just what is at stake in November’s midterm elections.

Every single day Republicans are moving further and further down a path towards fascism — and that path has no return. We cannot allow our democracy to follow.

John, if you are able, please rush a contribution today to condemn this move by Republicans. We can stop this descent into fascism, but only if we act now. [[link removed]]

I refuse to let Republicans normalize violence against our brave Capitol Police and first responders. And I will not let them legitimize threats against the lives of their political enemies as “legitimate discourse”.

America is still a democracy, and it will continue to be so long as we fight for it. Join me by sending in a contribution to help us protect the House today. >> [[link removed]]
