Dear John,
We don’t just talk about Black history in February. We support Black women running for office and making history all year.
Why? Our government is still not reflective of its people. Black women make up less than 5% of Congress, statewide elected offices, and state legislatures. That’s why we endorse candidates like Lucy McBath (GA-6) and Lauren Underwood (IL-14).
Last year, A Woman’s Place endorsed both of their campaigns and now both congresswomen are making history in the House, inspiring young black girls across the country to take up space in places that have long told them that they don’t belong, while introducing legislation for critical issues like gun violence and maternal health.
We are getting ready to make our first round of 2022 endorsements. Donate now!
Supporting Black women running for office to make lasting progress for their constituents is what A Woman’s Place is all about. Are you in?
Join us in tearing down financial barriers for women like Lauren Underwood and Lucy McBath. Donate now.
