On Friday, The Republican National Committee held a vote declaring the Jan 6. insurrection to be a form of "legitimate political discourse." Hours later at a rally, Donald Trump promised to pardon the rioters who stormed the Capitol and brutally attacked police officers.
Kevin McCarthy has lost any bit of decency he has left in order to placate Trump and the far right. He’s desperate to become Speaker, but as one of his Republican colleagues confessed, “The GOP is no longer about what it believes in, it's about how intensely loyal they are to Donald Trump."
The idea that McCarthy is on the verge of taking the gavel should frighten everyone. And if we're going to stop today's GOP from taking control in Congress, it starts by DEFEATING McCarthy here at home.
