Hello Friend,

I’m Carolina, and I serve on the Rashida for Congress campaign team as Operations and Constituent Services Manager. Some of you may already know me, since I answer the phone when people call the campaign office and I respond to your emails.

As we’re growing our campaign team and hiring field organizers for 2022’s re-election campaign, we wanted to introduce some of our staff members so you can get a better understanding of who we are and the work that we’re doing on the ground.

When the pandemic was first spreading, finding masks and PPE was nearly impossible. Soon that became the goal of our campaign: checking on residents and connecting them with pandemic-related resources. I drove from one end of the district to the other distributing masks and PPE. We’re still focused on providing residents of Michigan’s 13th district with excellent constituent services, because the well-being of our residents is our priority.

I get to work with people like Oscar, our Deputy Campaign Manager, who supports the campaign while focusing on field strategy. Since Michigan’s redistricting process placed the vast majority of our current district’s residents in the newly drawn 12th district for this year’s election, Rashida decided to run in that new, larger district. Oscar is developing our game plan to reach out and listen to our new 12th district communities―having meaningful conversations and providing residents with the support they need.

Another one of our colleagues is LaMar, a social worker by training who serves as our Digital Content Manager. They’re part of our communications team, using graphic design to organize our communities on social media. If you comment on one of our posts on Facebook, LaMar will read it!

We’re on Team Rashida because we care about our community and because we believe in Rashida as a candidate for the people. As LaMar said:
