A record number of bills targeting transgender & non-binary youth have been introduced in the Virginia General Assembly. Let's send a message to Virginia legislators that transgender & non-binary youth are loved and belong! 

Join Equality Virginia and partner organizations for a virtual Valentine Letter Writing Party (Feb. 10 at 6 pm and Feb. 11 at 12 pm)! At these virtual events, we'll be writing letters to lawmakers urging them to support transgender and non-binary youth and to oppose any harmful bills that seek to undermine their rights & protections! We'll also be sending thank you Valentine's to legislative champions who have already opposed bills targeting LGBTQ+ youth.

During this Zoom event you'll get an update from Equality Virginia staff on what these bills aim to do, and Human Rights Campaign staff will share how to tell your personal story! After that, we'll play cupid's favorite songs as you write your letter in our virtual collection form! We will strive to ensure that the space is secure for all to enjoy, and ongoing support will be provided throughout both events. 

On Valentine's Day (Monday February 14th) Equality Virginia and partner organization staff will be hand-delivering your letters to legislators! Don't miss this opportunity to share your message of love & affirmation!
