Family Research Council has been helping lead the charge to protect our children from the far Left's indoctrination.
One of the organizations most responsible for the radicalization happening in our nation's schools is the highly partisan and left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and its "Learning for Justice" (LFJ) program.
Rebranded from its "Teaching Tolerance" initiative, LFJ has a brand-new mission that's designed to infiltrate schools through radically progressive education resources.
FRC has raised the alarm in the past on SPLC's previous "Teaching Tolerance" program, which didn't even attempt to hide its far-left bias. It included:
- Publications for educators on creating an "LGBT Inclusive School Environment."
- A "Toolkit for 'gender spectrum'" that encouraged teachers to host "gender-neutral days"... as early as third grade.
- A "Best Practices" handbook instructing leaders to "use gender-inclusive language" and advocate for students to cross-dress and attend events with same-sex dates. (This so-called "inclusive" curriculum stigmatized those who have moral or religious objections to this ideology.)
All of these shocking efforts were included in their old curriculum, but now the SPLC admits that the rebranded "Learning for Justice" will go even further: "We're proud of the work we've done. But our approach -- and our work -- have evolved. And our goals have shifted, as well... The fact is, tolerance is not justice. It isn't a sufficient description of the work we do or of the world we want."
In other words, SPLC's goal is to indoctrinate children with their radical, anti-Christian worldview.

The SPLC has direct access to schools to promote their "Learning for Justice" curriculum due to a longstanding relationship with the National Education Association (NEA). As FRC's Senior Fellow for Education Studies, Meg Kilgannon writes, "The NEA has embraced the SPLC and empowered them to prioritize activism over academics in public schools."
Parents send their children to school to learn reading, writing, history, math, and science -- not radical ideologies intent on shaping the sexual and gender identities of impressionable minors.
But more than 500,000 educators use this dangerous SPLC curriculum nationwide, many of them unwittingly.
Therefore, it is critical that parents, pastors, and every conservative citizen get involved in taking back our schools to protect our students from this progressive agenda.
But the public-school classroom is not the only target of the SPLC. They plan to broaden their reach into your community by working with "administrators, counselors, librarians, support staff, teacher educators and more." And according to their website, they plan "to start working with caregivers and communities too."
John, your voice on these issues matters, especially because the SPLC's goal is to silence the voice of Christians to eliminate our influence in America.

Don't forget this is the same SPLC linked in federal court to a 2012 domestic terrorism attack on FRC's headquarters. The gunman made an attempt to kill as many of our staff as possible, later admitting to targeting us because we are listed on the SPLC's so-called "Hate Map." We and numerous other faith-based organizations are on this list because we dare to stand for the biblical definition of marriage.
It is unthinkable that a deeply partisan organization that still designates FRC and other pro-marriage allies like Alliance Defending Freedom as "hate groups" would be allowed to have any role in shaping our children's worldview!
But organizations like the SPLC want to silence Christian parents so they cannot even use their constitutionally guaranteed freedom to speak on behalf of our nation's kids.
