Friends,

This past week was a stark reminder of where the Republican Party's priorities stand.

In a voice vote on Friday, the Republican National Committee (RNC) censured two Republican members who dared condemn the Jan. 6 attack and Donald Trump's involvement. In their vote, the RNC deemed what happened on Jan. 6th to be a form of "legitimate political discourse."

At a political rally over the weekend, Donald Trump complained that his former Vice President didn't do enough to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Rep. Adam Kinzinger put it best when he said, “conservatism is no longer about what you actually believe, it’s about how intensely you’re loyal to Donald Trump.”

While today's GOP pits itself against democracy and on the side of political violence, we are continuing to deliver results to our community and the American people.

Below are the latest updates on our work. As always, please respond directly if you have questions or feedback.

Sincerely,

Mike’s new legislation ensures that servicemembers accrue the same GI Bill benefits as their active duty counterparts when they take on jobs with the same risk.
