Team,
Today is a day that could define who we are as a nation: We’re at the Supreme Court to defend the DACA policy protecting approximately 700,000 Dreamers from deportation.
Five courts have already agreed that President Trump’s attempt to end DACA was illegal. We refuse to lose this fight now.
In America, we know immigrants make us great. That’s especially true for DACA recipients, who came to this country as young children and are now fully integrated into our communities as doctors, nurses, and teachers.
“The program my entire life depends on is in the hands of the Supreme Court… We don’t know any other country.”
—Leezia, DACA recipient
While President Trump puts forward an anti-immigrant agenda that tears families and communities apart, we’re fighting to defend a diverse, bright, and hopeful future.
Our future includes Dreamers. It must. Without their talents and tenacity, we will all lose if Dreamers are thrown back into the shadows. We can’t let that happen — and that’s why we’re in this fight.
Thank you,
Xavier
