 “In an Oct. 2018 email to Newman, Chehade memorialized that he and Newman had met earlier in the week and discussed a proposal where Newman would not only pledge to hiring Chehade, but would also “commit” to a number of anti-Israel policy positions.”

Even though Israel is one of the United States’ most important allies, Newman was one of only nine members of Congress to vote against protecting thousands of Israeli civilians by funding the Iron Dome defense system last September.

Selling out our allies to gain political power should never be acceptable.
