Friend,

For months now, Jim Jordan has been pathetically dodging this question: when did you talk with President Trump on January 6th and what did you talk about?

First, Jordan told a reporter he didn’t know when he spoke with Trump. Then, he told Congressman McGovern he spoke with Trump after the attack on the Capitol. And when he was asked again last week if he spoke with Trump on the morning of the attack, Jim Jordan said he couldn’t “recall.”

Jordan might not be able to “recall” the truth. But the January 6th Committee certainly can get to the bottom of it.

Thanks to their effort to subpoena Trump’s records from the National Archives, we now know that Jim Jordan spoke with Trump hours before the January 6th Insurrection.

We still don’t know what Trump and Jordan talked about, but with the amount of lies Jordan’s told about the call, we can guess the conversation was incriminating. The Committee is now trying to interview Jordan to get more answers, but just like the rest of Trump’s allies, Jordan is delaying the investigation.

The January 6th Committee is working hard to find the truth about the role Trump and his allies played in the January 6th Insurrection. But we need to make sure they have the time and authority to finish their work. If we don’t win the midterms, the House Republicans will shutdown the January 6th Committee and our only opportunity to hold the insurrectionists accountable will be lost.

Donate now to hold The 147 accountable and restore the peaceful transition of power.
