John —

I’ve spent the last few days traveling all over the state -- meeting folks in Cary, Charlotte, Durham, and Chapel Hill. And everywhere I went, I heard from people who are ready for new representation in this Senate seat.

That’s why in a few moments, I am going to ask you to make a donation to my campaign for United States Senate in North Carolina. We have a very important mid-month fundraising deadline coming up, so I’m reaching out today. Will you let me explain?

As you may know, the majority of contributions to my campaign come from messages just like this one. I know they can be a bit overwhelming at times, but they make a huge difference for our team.

The truth is, the work we’re doing today will decide the outcome of this election. Whether we reach our goals or come up short will determine if we can build a winning campaign to flip this seat. How this all plays out will come down to how you respond right now.

I am not taking any money from corporate PACs , which means the only way we can counter the dark money network backing our opponent is with donations from supporters like you. That’s why I’m asking:

Can I count on you to add a contribution of $10 or whatever you can afford before our mid-month fundraising deadline? We need to have a strong month if we’re going to win in North Carolina. Chip in today.

This race is Democrats’ best chance to win back the Senate next November. We have the momentum, and we cannot afford to take our foot off the gas now if we’re going to win this thing in the end. Your support has already made an incredible difference so far and I appreciate your help.

Thanks for all you do.
