Millions Cross the Border Illegally — Feds Have No Idea How Many Total

In 2021, U.S. Border Patrol agents made 1.9 million arrests. But this number is just how many migrants we have caught and recorded. We have no idea the number of illegal immigrants that have crossed our border without getting caught — this number could be 2 or 3 times higher than what we have on record!

Since I have been elected as your Lt. Governor, I have continuously listened to the concerns of Texans about securing our border. In 2017, I led the fight to ban sanctuary cities in Texas. This past legislative session, I approved several billion dollars for border security — more than any other Lt. Governor in history.

For these reasons, the National Border Patrol Council endorsed me for re-election. These men and women know the border better than anyone else. I am so grateful for their endorsement, and I will continue to support them with everything they need to keep Texans safe.

Since Biden became president, the chaos at our southern border has erupted into a full-blown crisis. We are at a 21-year high in border apprehensions, but Biden still will not even call it a crisis, much less visit the border.

After President Trump left office, illegal immigrants started flooding our border because they knew Biden would be soft on border security. Biden would rather secure Ukraine's border than our own. In what world does that make any sense?

Running for Lt. Governor in 2014 and again in 2018, I pledged to fund border security at historic levels. I kept my promise. This year, I approved funding to build the wall and created the Texas Senate Committee on Border Security, which will oversee the funding and policies of Texas' effort to secure our border.

Unlike the Biden administration, we will stand our ground and do whatever is necessary to keep our communities safe.

The Democrats are trying to defeat me at the ballot box because they want a lawless, open border. And they will stop at nothing to defeat me in 2022. Can I count on your support of $5-$10-$25 or more to help me keep fighting?
