This is big, really big.? ? ? ? Friend ? dozens of environmental volunteers and organizers from across the country are descending on the U.S. Capitol for an emergency grassroots push to demand that lawmakers provide funding to public lands and outdoor recreation opportunities across the nation.

This is a BIG DEAL! Earlier this year, Congress reauthorized the Land and Water Conservation Fund ? a massively popular program that provides funding for wildlife areas, historic battlegrounds, community parks, and more.

But this is urgent, friend ? Congress is about to decide on how much to fund the program. If they fully and permanently fund LWCF, it will be a game-changer for parks and public lands all over the country and all those who cherish them. The League of Conservation Voters and our allies across the Conservation Voter Movement have organized a major show of grassroots strength in the capital tomorrow. Today, we're asking for a show of solidarity from all of our members. All it takes is $5 to help fund this campaign.

Time is short and we need to get people to Washington. Can you help? Please RUSH an emergency contribution to LCV. Even $5 will make a big difference ? [link removed]

A major donor is so fired up about getting the Land and Water Conservation Fund fully funded that all gifts are TRIPLE MATCHED until the deadline.

The permanent reauthorization of LWCF earlier this year was a clear victory for our national, state, and local parks. But permanent reauthorization is only half the battle, because it does not guarantee funding for LWCF. As Congress debates government funding this month, it will be crucial to seize the momentum from the reauthorization victory to pass legislation providing full, permanent, and dedicated funding for LWCF as part of the broader appropriations package.

LWCF is so important to families across the country because this program protects and enhances spaces in our communities that give people ? regardless of their income or level of ability ? places to play and build community, and it preserves our natural and cultural heritage for generations to come. From local baseball fields to iconic parks like the Grand Canyon, LWCF has given children safe spaces to play, families open areas to relax, and increased accessibility to nearby green spaces for thousands of communities nationwide. These green spaces are worth fighting for.

The absolutely best way to ensure LWCF is fully funded is to flood Congress with supporters and tomorrow LCV is doing it.

We have a limited window of time to score some real, meaningful victories for the planet ? but we can only fight as hard as the resources on hand allow.

Please, don't sit this one out ? the weeks ahead are pivotal. Make a gift to LCV right now and it will have THREE TIMES the impact for our environment. Just $5 can make a difference! [link removed]

We'll keep you updated as things progress ? thank you, as always, for your commitment to protecting our environment.
