It's another new year and helping to achieve gender equality and empower women and girls across the globe remains high on our to-do list. 

We invite you to support a growing movement for change in Rajasthan, one of the Indian states with the highest fertility rates and least access to education for girls and vulnerable groups.

Rajasthan Rising is a collective of 5,000 girls demanding free access to education, thus keeping girls in school and avoiding the all-too-common alternative of child marriage and adolescent pregnancy. 

Empower to Plan is partnering with Rajasthan Rising to support the development and delivery of leadership trainings for 20 girls, who will then become mentors to others in their local community. Your support will help to provide workshops addressing the intersections of gender equality and climate adaptation and mitigation, while empowering some of the most vulnerable girls and communities in Rajasthan. Over five months, the participants will become inspiring local leaders, building this powerful movement’s future and spearheading change at local, state and national level.

With your support, girls will lead their own empowerment projects in their communities, raising awareness about menstrual hygiene, sexual and reproductive health and the risks of child marriage. They will also be able to claim and exercise their rights, challenge discriminatory gender and caste norms and lobby for policy change.
